Siargao, Phillippines

Wilhelm and Faythe traveled to the Filipino island of Siargao. Yes, to surf at this mecca of crashing waves and hollow tubes. But also to work with Grom Nation on sustainability programs and environmental workshops. Grom Nation’s mission is to use surfing as a mechanism of engagement to achieve maximum participation in their educational and environmental programs designed to ensure that the children of Siargao are major benefactors of tourism on their tiny island paradise. Luke Lights were given to 100 families on the island who live in huts where electricity is unreliable, while they participated in lessons on sustainable waste management practices.
